What word do I use too much?

Like.

Goodness gracious, I just reread my last post to check for horrible spelling/grammar issues and I read the word like way too many times. I was going to edit some out, but I won't so you can all get a good laugh.

Gotta work on that I guess.

What have I gotten myself into?!

Some of you are probably coming from Kerry's blog now. And yeah, I said I would do it, so I'm going to do it. A whole 6 miles. Honestly it doesn't seem like much when comparing to the 26.2 that Kerry will be doing, but with me, Colleen, yeah it's HUGE.

I was talking (read: complaining, whining, bitching) to my best friend from college about it and she just simply stated, "Yeah, you really dont like to run do you?" It's almost to a comical point. I will do ANYTHING except running. I've even started taking Zumba (google it!) classes. It's like put me on a treadmill and it's like medieval torture device! My high school soccer coach* timed me once -- I ran faster with a soccer ball then I did without - honestly. We had to do sprints and I ran faster with a ball at my feet then without. I like a goal. I like a "reason" to run. I guess Kerry has given me a reason ... though I dont know how long it will last after the marathon.

*This is the same high school soccer coach who saw me at Christmas Eve Mass holding the princess Caroline and asked me in the most awkward/hilarious voice "Is she ...... yours?!" hahahaha - which was exactly what I was hoping would happen - the gossip to spread like wild fire in my oh-so-small Pleasantville type town that I had a child. I still laugh about it to myself. ha. ha.

What will I do with myself?

Greg's on vacation with his two best friends in the Bahamas. Yup. A vacation without me. Oh poor pitiful me. or ... oh lucky ducky me -- we are going on our own vacation in just 80 short days (oh crap, 80 days until bathing suit time) to Belize. But yes, I'm jealous. I can admit it.

The question a lot of people have asked is "what will you do with yourself?!"

At first I thought, my goodness people it's only 1 week. But then I realized, that I have never lived alone. Ever. It's so weird. I've caught myself talking to myself. And I jump a mile high and sprint over to my phone when I hear it ring. That is if I let it ring since I've been on it the whole time. TV shows just aren't as funny. Or they are, but laughing to yourself seems weird. Cooking for one isn't great fun either - so that bag of lettuce and chopped up peppers are going to have to do for the week.

So anyway - what will I do with myself? I'm going to spend the night with my sissy poo cause I dont like being alone, she's cooking me dinner, and she lives drastically closer to our dentist and I have an appointment in the morning. Tomorrow night Breton will come over for dinner which I'm very excited about. Thursday I've got nothing planned except the gym and a TON of cleaning to do. Friday - possibly a trip to my parents to see McCashew then out on the town. Saturday Greg gets home around 5:15 -- maybe I'll plan a welcome home dinner of some sort?

In all honesty, I miss Greg for sure, but it's more just missing the company of a person. I talk a lot, and it's nice to have someone who listens ... even if they are forced to because our condo is only 900 square feet. Ha. Oh well, only a few more days.

What did I do in 2007?

March - Met my favorite author - Jodi Picoult - with my favorite Mom & sissy. Celebrated St. Patrick's Day with the best group ever!

April - Sadly did not go to Blacksburg due to the massacre, but rather spent a wonderful weekend at Lake Anna with all of my favorite Hokies! McWriter is 27!

May - Moved in with Greg! and celebrated his 25th! and celebrated the second annual beerfest in Maine!

June - celebrated my 24th birthday! and two weddings: Mike & Kelsey and Ed & Jocelyn!

July - 3rd of July!!!!!! -- Visited Chicago for the first time!

August - Lobsterfest, lots of Humarock, and a bunch of birthdays!

September - Had a Boston's Finest funfilled reunion! Lots of BC football in EXTREME heat!!

October - Went apple picking, and carved the coolest pumpkins!

November - Started a new job!! And I made it to Blacksburg for my first Tech game!

December - Watched BC attempt to beat Tech one more time for their first ACC championship ... 31-17 loss! Told Kerry I would run 6 miles with her - oh crap! At least I'll have something for April 2008!
